Executive Director/Physician Advisor
An emergency physician in Vancouver, Dr. Alexander is the founder and executive director of the MMC. Since getting into medical school he has always felt that there were inequities in access to mentorship and information on how to become a physician. He created the MMC to reduce barriers for people who want to pursue medicine.

A third-year medical student from Ottawa and a leader of uOttawa’s Medical Diversity Awareness Group, Katherine was captivated by the MMC mission and joined while it was a pilot project. She continues to maintain active mentor engagement, leads the onboarding process and training of new mentors, and ensures that mentors feel adequately supported.
Associate Director of Content Development
A third-year medical student from Ottawa who was part of uOttawa Medicine's Vertical Mentorship program, Nardin supervises the creation of materials from mentors in MMC. Associate Director of Social Media/Webmaster
A third-year medical student from Kingston, Daniel manages the public relations and social media strategy of MMC. He also leads the CASPer & suturing workshops. Associate Director of Research
A psychiatry resident from Montréal, Kenzy evaluates the MMC’s effectiveness as a mentoring platform, as well as providing guidance to community members on various research opportunities. In the past, she completed a literature search and wrote a commentary on the dual role of medical students within the community - as mentors and mentees.
Associate Director of University Outreach
A third-year medical student from Alberta, Nick describes one of his realizations that successful medical school applicants need the support of ‘a village’. The people who make up this ‘village’ would ideally be able to provide information, advice, and reflect on personal experiences to assist an applicant in their dream. Nick's goal is to ensure that the MMC could be that village for future applicants.
Associate Director of Member Management
A first-year medical student from Vancouver, Davy oversees and moderates the community to ensure that each and every member is welcomed, feels accepted, and, similarly, that every one of their questions is answered. Davy's work in the Slack platform has been essential for the creation of a positive and friendly environment for everyone.
Associate Director of High School Outreach
A third-year medical student from Alberta, Levi oversees MMC's outreach to high schools. His goal is to plant seeds of inspiration and ambition in young minds early enough so they can grow to be trees of determination and achievement in years to come. If said young minds decide they want to pursue a career in medicine, he wants that to be an attainable goal for them.
